This cool application was developed for a window blinds store. It enables the user to select from the choices of room kinds like bedroom, dining room, kitchen etc (click on 'Change Room' button). The user is then given an option to choose from the colors for walls and the ceiling and apply those in the room.
Once a user has selected desired colors for a given room, he can then proceed to choose window blinds for that room (click on 'Change Blinds' button). The user is shown blinds categories, blind types and color to choose from and his choice of blind is applied on the window within his chosen room, for his review.
An important feature for you to look at here is that when the blinds are applied on the window, you would see an effect such as vertical or sieve or folds, as per the blind category chosen. This effect is not in the blind image that is displayed but has been achieved through Action Scripting.
The attributes and images for the rooms and blinds are fed to the application through the XML feed and can be customized by the administrator as below:
The number of room choices can be extended- The room layouts can be changed
- Blind categories, types and colors can be extended
- Further nesting can be applied within the blinds choices
- The application can be modify as required to be applied to other businesses
- The same interface can be extended for the visitor to seek a quote on his choice or buy blinds.
